Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail are basically on your dream honeymoon right now, and it's okay to be a little jealous. (We are too, TBH.) It's hard not to be when you see these safari snapshots. After tying the knot in a classic New York City wedding, the actress and the Mr. Robot creator jetted off for their post-"I do" getaway to Rwanda—and they've incited some major FOMO along the way.
Over Memorial Day weekend, Rossum and Esmail made it official at the East 55th Street Conservative Synagogue in New York City. And while we're still reeling over Rossum's Carolina Herrera wedding dress, these newlyweds are already off on their next big adventure—their honeymoon. Rossum and Esmail have traveled to the East African country of Rwanda and are enjoying their honeymoon with a laundry list of wild animals.
Cheetahs, gorillas, zebras, oh my! The newlyweds took to Instagram to share some snapshots from their African safari excursion. "Hanging out with these guys today," Esmail captioned a photo of a pair of gorillas.
The director's new wife clearly loves honeymooning with their new gorilla friends as well. "Trekked into the mountains in Rwanda with the park rangers who dedicate their lives to the protection and conservation of the mountain gorillas," Rossum captioned a video clip of the creatures. "Truly once in a lifetime experience learning how to respect, understand and communicate with them, continuing the work of Dian Fossey."
Rossum also documented zebras and antelopes along her and her hub's couple's safari. A pair of leopards even made an appearance to wish the newlyweds congrats! "Pretty incredible leopard sighting," Rossum wrote. "The mother leopard was playing with the baby when they spotted a hyena lying in wait in the bushes."
And while Rossum was snapping photos of the leopards, Esmail was taking pics his new bride. "Safari Rossum," he captioned a photo of the actress documenting the beautiful Rwanda sunset.
Didn't we warn you about the major FOMO?
