John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have proved time and time again that they define #couplegoals. The duo, who have been married since 2010, recently opened up in an rare joint interview with The Hollywood Reporter about their romance, and needless to say, it's going to give you all the feels.
The couple posed for the publication in a series of Christmas card-worthy shots and spoke about their marriage, working together, and how they met. Blunt insists that she asked Krasinski out, but the actor had a different recollection of the beginning of their relationship. "No," Krasinski said, countering Blunt's claim that she was the one to make the first move. "It was me asking for a while, and you took some time, and then we finally had a date."
The two did agree on the details of their first date, however, saying that they spent the night hanging at Krasinski's West Hollywood apartment eating pizza. (Again, GOALS.) But after Krasinski hesitated on sharing briefly giving a synopsis of their night together, Blunt told the publication that she wants to keep the details of the night to herself. "It's so precious, I don't want to talk about it. Is that all right?" she said.
A Quiet Place, the 2018 film which the couple first costarred in, was a turning point in their marriage. Initially, Blunt said that she had imagined someone else playing the part, but when she read the script, everything changed. Her husband was thrilled by the opportunity.
"It was like she was proposing to me," he said. "It was one of the greatest moments in my career. I screamed out, 'Yes!' I'm surprised we didn't emergency land in San Antonio."
Blunt revealed that she even strayed from her normal acting/working rule to accommodate the movie. "I have a minimum of a five-month rule between projects, other than A Quiet Place," she said. "I broke the rule for him and him alone." These two!
