It's a very happy holiday season for Sir Elton John and David Furnish! The couple, who have been in a civil partnership since 2005 and have two children together, are finally going to get officially married on December 21 (one day after Lance Bass's wedding!), according to the Daily Mirror. The couple of 22 years are reportedly planning a "small and intimate" ceremony to mark the occasion, which will occur shortly after the U.K legalized converting civil partnerships into marriages.
Fitting for the duo, there will be some big names among the small crowd on their wedding day. Among the 50 friends and family invited to celebrate at their home are David and Victoria Beckham, Elizabeth Hurley, and the Osbournes.

According to sources, the event is many months in the making, even though the actual wedding will be relatively casual. "Elton and David have been planning this for months," an insider told the Daily Mirror. "Elton is flamboyant but, for once, this will be a decidedly low-key affair. Only close friends and family are invited — it's going to be a small, intimate do."
Naturally, John and Furnish's two sons, Zachary and Elijah, will be their ring bearers. "It's important to David and Elton the boys play a special part," the source added.
Overall, the nuptials sound like they'll be decidedly less opulent than the ones they had nine years ago, when they became one of the first couples to have a civil partnership in the U.K. That one took place at Windsor Guildhall (the same place where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles wed) before 650 guests including Ringo Starr.
