It may have been months since George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot but people — including Watch What Happens Live's Andy Cohen — are still dying to know what went on behind the scenes during that star-studded weekend in Venice. Thankfully for Cohen (and us), Clooney's close friend and former costar Ellen Barkin is opening up about the highly-publicized celebration.
On last night's Watch What Happens Live, Cohen and fellow guest Anderson Cooper took turns badgering Barkin about her time at the wedding with inquiries like: "Who got the most drunk?" and "Did any famous people drunkenly hook up?"
According to Barkin, she might as well have earned the drunken title, because the whole weekend was an alcohol-induced haze. "I can only speak for myself and that would be a big yes," said of guests being imbibed at the wedding, Us Weekly reports. As for the food, she hilariously quipped, "I would say spectacular, [but] I didn't eat. It got in the way of my drinking. You know what, I'm not lying, I have no f—king idea. I didn't eat a thing all weekend."
As for spontaneous celebrity get togethers, Barkin remained mum, but not without alluding to her quickie engagement to Ben Emmerson, one of Alamuddin's colleagues. "I only remember one person at my table, a gentleman," she said with a smile while sipping her drink.
In the end, she's not surprised her good friend settled down. "I always felt he would," she dished. "I felt he was just waiting till he felt like he wanted to."
As for Alamuddin? "She takes great care of him and all his friends." So great to hear!
