The undisputed king of wedding songs (his ultra-romantic tune "Thinking Out Loud" literally claims the title as the #1 wedding song in the world according to Spotify, and was probs played at half the weddings you attended last year), might be soon singing one at his own! Ed Sheeran officially has marriage on the brain and could be thinking of proposing to girlfriend Cherry Seaborn sooner than you think. We're envisioning either "I Was Made For Loving You" or "Kiss Me" for his first dance. HBU?
Here's the deal: Sheeran recently revealed some new deets about his relationship with girlfriend Cherry Seaborn on the Australian radio show KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, and—what's that we hear? Could they possibly be... wedding bells?
Although Sheeran is usually pretty hush-hush when it comes to his personal life, the Grammy-winner opened up on his romance with Seaborn, sharing with the radio hosts, "She lives three or four miles away from me where I grew up," according to the Daily Mail. "And we live together now," added the singer. "We just got cats."
Even more exciting is that Sheeran is open to expanding his fam in the future—with babies of the non-furry variety! "Yeah, potentially," Sheeran responded on the subject of having children. "I would like some kids."
But here's the kicker: When asked if he thinks that his relationship with Seaborn could possibly lead to marriage (they did celebrate their one year anniversary at a Taylor Swift–hosted bash back in July, after all), Sheeran replied "Yeah, I feel pretty good about it." Excuse our girlish squeals of delight.
The Daily Mail also made claims that the singer is thinking of popping the question before the Australian leg of his tour is up, citing an alleged friend of the celeb who told NW magazine, "He's so ready to take the next step with Cherry and couldn't think of a better place to ask her to marry him [than] in Australia."
Yeah, either of those would be nice, wouldn't they...
