As a #TBT, the newlywed posted a series of three videos to Instagram showing off the epic surprise. "Throwback to when @charmladonna helped me surprise my wife on our wedding day," he added.
The video shows Sabara and his backup dancers performing to a mashup of songs including, “Someone to Watch Over Me” by Frank Sinatra, "Pop! Goes My Heart” by Hugh Grant, and “Suit and Tie” by Justin Timberlake. The dance was choreographed by Charm La'Donna who has worked with Selena Gomez, Kendrick Lamar and, of course, the “All About That Bass” singer herself.
“I had the pleasure of choreographing @darylsabara surprise performance for @meghan_trainor at their wedding,” La’Donna wrote on Instagram also sharing the video. “Literally one of my favorite moments of 2018. I love you both.😭😭 Men in Black: @chriscast27 @bjpaulin2 @therealajaye @shanebruce_”
As for the bride, Trainor couldn’t even begin to contain her excitement. The video shows the singer with a permanent smile on her face as she jumps up and down with her eyes wide in disbelief. By the second and third clip, Trainor is on her feet, trying to copy her groom's impressive choreography.
The video also gives a closer look at the couple’s backyard ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.. (They tied the knot on December 22—the singer's 25th birthday and exactly one year from the day they got engaged.) Sabara's video showed off the twinkle-light covered tent and lounge seating that filled the reception. In the clip, Trainor was still wearing her sparkly Berta gown and Badgley Mischka heels, but according to her social media she changed into a Rita Vinieris suit and Aldo sneakers to dance the night away with her hubby later on.
While their wedding might be hard to top, Trainor and Sabara sure are trying. After their wedding they went on a honeymoon and familymoon to The Brando, on the island of Tetiaroa, French Polynesia, according to Entertainment Tonight.
“Best honeymoon/familymoon ever,” Trainor posted to her feed under a photo of herself staring to the clear blue water. “Taken by my HUSBAND @darylsabara.”
The “Hey DJ” singer’s Instagram highlight of the trip shows the couple enjoying water sports, marine wildlife, and even more dancing.
