The 21-year-old dancer announced the couple's engagement Saturday evening by sharing an Instagram image of the pair cuddled on the beach. "My love of four years @carson.mcallister proposed last night & I feel like the luckiest, happiest woman in the world," she captioned the photo. "It was perfect, he's perfect #engaged."
Carson divulged more to People about how Mcallister popped the question. "My high school sweetheart popped the question last night in the most perfect, beautiful way," she divulged. "He was waiting for me on the beach surrounded by candles. Danced with me while the sun went down and then knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes."
McAllister, too, posted a photo from the happy occasion. Next to a snap of their beachside kiss, he wrote: "Couldn't be any happier to spend forever with my best friend."
According to People, the pair met in their hometown of American Fork, Utah, and have dated for four years. She often shares loving images of herself and Mcallister on Instagram, including a shot of the couple at the 67th Emmy Awards.
Carson previously appeared on the ninth season of So You Think You Can Dance and, after making it to the top three female contestants, and then joined the Dancing With the Stars cast in 2014 with BFF Lindsay Arnold, who, herself just got married to her high school sweetheart this past June.
