Mark your calendars for this double wedding! After tons of speculation over when Julianne Hough is tying the knot, the brother of the Dancing With the Stars pro, Derek Hough, just revealed his sister's wedding date—and it's the same day another DWTS duo is set to say "I do." Luckily, Hough has all the wedding day details…
After almost a two-year-long engagement to hockey player Brooks Laich, we were beginning to wonder if Julianne Hough was ever going to get around to setting a date for her wedding. But after the 28-year-old dancer celebrated her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in March (with celebs like Nina Dobrev and Kris Jenner in tow), we knew the big day had to be right around the corner. "It's happening; I'll put it that way," Hough revealed to Entertainment Tonight that same month. "This is the time that worked for everybody. It's not necessarily happening soon-soon, but it is coming up."
It certainly is! The bride's brother, Derek Hough, just revealed when the wedding will take place. Drumroll please…Hough and Laich will be tying the knot this July—in less than two weeks, according to Entertainment Tonight. But unfortunately, their "I do" date just so happens to be the same day that Hough's Dancing With the Stars costars Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy are set to wed as well. Awkward, much?
According to Derek, however, the double wedding date hopefully won't cause too much conflict among their DWTS family. "We have different friends [and] different groups," he explained to Entertainment Tonight, as he also spilled some other big day details from his sister's upcoming wedding.
"I'm excited!" he said of the wedding. "My baby sister [is] getting married [and] it's gonna be special to have the whole family there. We're gonna have a great time!"
"It's gonna be like, a week-long event," he explained. "It's gonna be amazing."
Derek also has a special role to play in the big day. "I think I will be making a little speech," added the professional dancer. "There's always surprises with my family that aren't planned, so there [will be] plenty of surprises."
We can't wait!
