Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke is slowly but surely starting to nail down some wedding plans. The dancer got engaged to Matthew Lawrence in May and the couple is already throwing around some ideas.

"We wanted a destination wedding, but then we got the family members in our ear, like, 'How dare you? That's so selfish!'" Burke said during a recent tapping of E!'s Daily Pop. “You know how it is."

While a destination celebration might not happen, the couple does know when they want to tie the knot. Burke said they hope to set a date for next summer around this time. One thing that is set in stone is Burke’s bridesmaids! She revealed which DWTS celebs will definitely be in her bride tribe: Leah Remini and Kim Johnson, who threw the couple’s engagement party, will be by her side on the big day.

The Dancing With the Stars: Juniors mentor also opened up about her whirlwind relationship with Lawrence. The two dated for a year back in 2007, and clearly rekindled their love, but they spent all that time in between apart.

"He has been someone I've thought about over the last decade," she said. "And I just knew." A couple Christmases ago, Burke’s sister sent Lawrence a text from the dancer’s phone to light a new spark. “I was like if he responds to this text message that my sister did over Christmas a couple years ago, then it’s for real,” she said.

Burke told E! , "He responded right away and we had dinner. I was like, 'That's it! Put a ring on it!'"

He clearly listened! Now the two are preparing to spend the rest of their lives together. While we obviously can’t wait to see what other details this couple chooses, like the wedding dress and the destination, everyone will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see a mirror-ball-trophy-worthy first dance.

However, “I just don’t know about this first dance thing,” Burke said. “Either it’s going to be super casual or else i’m gonna make him not want to marry me if I teach him how to dance. I’m telling you maybe it’s best if we don’t tango together, but maybe we will do something fun, I have no idea.”
