From Dan + Shay to Dan + Abby! Dan Smyers, one half of the country-music duo Dan + Shay, said "I do" to his longtime love, Abby Law, this past weekend. We've been aching to sneak a peek at their Nashville nuptials, and, thankfully, the wait is finally over! The newlyweds just shared the very first couple of snapshots from their beautiful big day, and we're obsessed! Fair warning, you guys: You're about to be majorly jealous over this bride's gorgeous gown—trust.
Back in November of 2016, Smyers popped the question to his love on Waikiki Beach during a Hawaiian vacay, with Law spilling the nuptial news on her Instagram page. "There are few words to fully convey this feeling of complete happiness," Law captioned a snapshot of herself and her fiancé sharing a smooch on the beach. "Daniel Smyers, knowing and loving you has been the most rewarding part of my life thus far and continuing our journey together as your wife will be an honor. I love you so much my heart could explode!!! Y'all WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!!"
And now they're married! Smyers and Law said their I do's on Saturday, May 13, as the sun set on Nashville. According to People.com, the bride donned a stunning strapless sweetheart wedding dress by designer Galia Lahav that featured luxe embroidery and corset detailing. Meanwhile, the country-crooner groom rocked a Hugo Boss black tux.
"The father to our canines. The keeper of my heart. The hardest working man I know. My best friend. My partner. My husband. Thank you for making my dreams come true and choosing me to walk beside you in this life," Law captioned one of the couple's very first wedding photos posted to Instagram. "This weekend was unforgettable, thank you to our family and friends who were a part of it. Living a true dream."
Smyers also posted a sweet snapshot of himself and his new wife posing outside in their weddingwear. "Husband + Wife," he simply captioned the photo.
As for the big day details, People previously reported that the wedding party included the groom's bandmate, Shay Mooney, and the couple's three dogs, who adorably dressed up for the occasion. "They are the most important bridesmaid and groomsmen," Smyers joked of their pooches. The couple even loves their four-legged bridal party so much, they've opted to request donations to an animal-rescue organization in lieu of wedding gifts. "We've built a life together over the past few years and didn’t really need a lot of stuff, so we included it if someone wants to donate," explained Law.
We need to see these furry groomsmen and bridesmaid, stat! Post those pics, you guys!
