This country sweetheart is tying the knot! Country singer Maren Morris is engaged to her fellow singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd and this bride-to-be is already showing off her bling in an engagement ring selfie on the 'Gram. (Can you blame the girl?)
Looks like the "My Church" singer will soon go from singing about churches to possibly getting hitched in one! Morris took to her Instagram on Sunday to post a series of engagement ring selfies, announcing her nuptial news. "Yes," the country songstress simply captioned the series of shots, adding the engagement ring emoji for good measure.
The first photo shows Morris perched on her sweetheart's lap—a Corona Light in one hand, and her brand new sparkler sitting pretty on the other. The second snapshot has Morris and Hurd gazing lovingly into each other's eyes. And the third and final photo gives us an up-close look at Morris' bridal bling—what looks to be a sizable round-cut diamond on a gold band.
Hurd also shared the engagement news with social media, posting a photo of himself and his bride-to-be on a boat in the middle of a scenic lake. "7/3/17," he captioned the pic, leading us to believe that this is the date and romantic locale of the proposal.
After meeting and becoming friends in 2013 during a song-writing session, Morris and Hurd began dating in December of 2015, People.com reports. "We were both at different publishing companies, and our publishers’ job is to fill our calendars up, so they just randomly put us together on a write one day," Morris previously told People of her and her now-fiancé's meet-cute.
"We had been friends for only a couple of years, but there was always this writing chemistry in the room, and eventually, the timing of it was undeniable," explained Morris. " We had such a foundation built off writing so many songs over the years that we were like, 'Why are we avoiding this?'"
