Wedding season is right around the corner and whether you're a newly engaged couple or one that's just about to say "I do," we bet you're actively searching for great ideas for your big day. As much fun as it is to scroll through wedding blogs and spend an afternoon pinning your dream celebration, at some point you're going to want to see how all of these moving parts can come together. Which is why we're taking you inside one of our favorite new love stories. Chris and Sandra exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding in Connecticut that was packed with stunning flowers and Tree of Life Films joined them to document the incredible day.
Their summer wedding is absolutely everything you'd want in a backyard bash. For starters, let's talk about the venue. If you have a home nestled against a gorgeous lake, there's no reason not to plan your wedding there. So we totally get why Sandra and Chris wanted to take advantage of their own property for an intimate, personalized, and totally beautiful celebration. The couple transformed their already perfect backdrop into an even prettier one thanks to tons of lush flowers.

We also love how romantic and personalized this day was. Since the pair didn't have to deal with any pesky rules or regulations, they were able to do exactly what they wanted for their wedding, which included touring the lake in a boat and having their adorable golden retriever be part of the entire celebration — from getting ready straight through the ceremony and reception. And didn't their pup look dashing in a floral garland?
Their reception was one to remember. We love how they upped the formality with a cool black and white checkered dance floor and crystal chandeliers that were hung over long dinner tables. And for dessert? A cake made entirely of cheese! Now that's an idea we can get behind. When the party wound down, Sandra and Chris made their getaway through a tunnel of twinkling sparklers and into a gorgeous vintage car. All in all, a pretty perfect day to us!
