On August 16, 2010, Mollie Harris and Aaron Olson first met as part of the Webster University Global MBA program, where they would both complete graduate school while living in five different countries over the course of a year. "After two weeks of knowing each other, we were inseparable," Mollie says. "During that first year, we visited 25 countries together!" Four years later, on May 31, 2014, Aaron proposed while on a walk around Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. "He had trouble saying anything other than those special words," Mollie remembers. "So later on he asked to propose again! Of course, I said 'Yes!' twice!"
With a new home together in the heart of St. Louis, Mollie and Aaron wanted to find a venue that was nearby. Our Lady of Lourdes, which is just a block away from their house, was chosen for their ceremony and the pair quickly booked the barn space at Cedar Creek, in nearby New Haven, Missouri, for their reception. "Not only is there a gorgeous barn in Missouri's wine country, but we were able to have our guests spend the night and have brunch with us the next morning before we left for our honeymoon," Mollie says of the property. Choosing a wedding dress proved to be quite simple for Mollie. "Two years before Aaron and I got engaged, I 'pinned' a picture of the Vera Wang 'Ethel' gown as a style that I loved," Mollie says. "The day after we got engaged, my mom sent me the exact same photo! Once it was time to shop for dresses, I knew I had to at least try it on." But since the bride-to-be was trying to keep an open mind, she decided to visit a boutique that didn't carry the style first. "I knew if I tried it on first I wouldn't want to take it off!" She finally slipped into the strapless trumpet gown, she knew it was what she would walk down the aisle in.
Mollie didn't want to over accessorize her look, so she chose a classic half-up hairstyle, dangling earrings, and carried a bouquet of ivory and pink roses and peonies.

Mollie's father, Mike, walked the bride down the aisle as a string quartet performed. Before the couple exchanged traditional vows, Aaron shared a special moment with his future father-in-law. "Mike couldn't find any words when giving Mollie away," the groom remembers. "I leaned in and said, 'Don't worry, I will take care of her.'"

"Once we saw the barn at Cedar Creek, I immediately envisioned chandeliers and draping," Mollie says of her dream décor. "It was a brand new venue and had only one wedding there before us. It was a blank slate and we were able to see its incredible potential." The couple worked with a day-of coordinator, Betsy Liberatore, to make sure their day went off without a hitch.

The couple's 150 guests found their seating assignments on splits of Mumm champagne that were dressed up with paper bow ties. As a bonus, the bottles of bubbly doubled as favors!

Before the entire party hit the dance floor, Mollie and Aaron shared a special moment during their first dance to Michael Bublé's rendition of "The Way You Look Tonight." To close out the day, Mollie and Aaron chose to honor a tradition that had become important to them while living in Thailand together in 2011. "We decided to light a traditional Thai lantern with a message we had written on it," the bride says.

"Throughout the day, even though it is crazy, make sure to take a step back with your new spouse and take everything in," the bride advises. "It goes by so fast and you need those little moments of alone time to soak it all in!"
