Lady Gaga is no rookie to the spotlight, but all eyes were on her Sunday night when she grabbed her second win at the Golden Globe awards. The six-time Grammy award winner took home the award for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for her hit "Shallow" from the movie A Star Is Born. Like the rest of us, she was beyond thrilled with her win. Gaga opened up to Entertainment Tonight before the big show and shared how her fiancé, talent agent Christian Carino, supported her throughout her big night.
"He's here, and he's wonderful," she said of her partner while on the red carpet. "He was so supportive through the entire filming process, and you know, I love him, very much."
Gaga added that the night was even more special because she got to "share it with the one that you love."
"He said, 'Enjoy yourself' -- that's what he said," she added.
Following the show, Carino shared an intimate shot of his fiancée to Instagram, which showed the singer laying in bed next to a bowl of cereal while holding her Golden Globe award, writing "what a night" in a caption. (Somehow it's both relatable and very unrelatable at the same time.)
Though rumors circulated that the couple was engaged in 2017, Gaga didn't officially refer to Carino as her fiancé until October 2018 during an on-stage speech at the Elle Women in Hollywood event. The couple have not yet revealed any further wedding plans due to their busy schedules, but they're still perfectly in love.
"Christian loves to make her happy and he is so proud of her success," a source told Entertainment Tonight back in December. "He is patient because he was a huge influence in her doing the film to begin with. The amazing thing about their relationship is that he understands her work and career and he is there to guide her."
