Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger's wedding might be sooner than you thought: The couple are reportedly thinking of a summer 2019 wedding that will focus on their faith.
The couple, who only announced their engagement on Monday (January 14) are reportedly already planning their nuptials. According to a People source, their religious beliefs and spirituality will play a major role in their big day.
“They’re going to want a religious wedding,” the source said. “I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage.”
A source close to Schwarzenegger, 29, adds that the couple will likely tie the knot soon: “They are one of those rare couples that you root for from the beginning. It won’t be a long engagement—Katherine has already talked about having a summer 2019 wedding.”
The source added that Pratt loves his fiancé's ability to listen to and accept his religious beliefs.
“He’s constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her," the source said. "She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen.”
Pratt announced the news of his new relationship status on Monday, when he shared a sweet Instagram post of he and his fiancé in an embrace.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️" Pratt wrote in a caption.
“My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you,” Schwarzenegger responded with a heart and ring emoji.
Pratt took the traditional route to propose, asking for her parent's blessing before he popped the question, according to People.
“He asked for Maria and Arnold’s blessing and was very traditional about things,” the source said. “Chris has been very straightforward about his intentions from the beginning. Over the last few months, he’s been bonding with all of Katherine’s siblings and it was clear to her entire family they would get married.”
