It's been just over two weeks since Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger got married in an elegant reception at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. Now, the couple is officially putting their vacation auto-responder on and enjoying some R&R on their honeymoon—and the place they chose to celebrate is absolutely gorgeous.
On Sunday, Us Weekly reported that the newlyweds were seen lounging poolside on a tropical island in Hawaii. According to an insider, Pratt was seen “swimming in the pool with goggles on and eating french fries.” Sounds like the perfect way to kick back and bask in married life.
Pratt popped the question after dating Schwarzenegger less than a year. He announced that they were engaged in a sweet Instagram post that he published in January, showing Schwarzenegger's dazzling engagement ring. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you,” he wrote at the time. “Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”
The wedding was an intimate affair, attended by Schwarzenegger's parents Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and Pratt's son from his first marriage with actress Anna Faris. The bride wore a lace Armani Privé bustier column gown, along with a tulle veil that her mother wore on her own wedding day. She later changed into another Armani Privé design for the reception, opting for a silk satin gown with dramatic, draped sleeves and a low-cut back.
The couple gushed about how their big day went in a post they both shared on Instagram.
"Yesterday was the best day of our lives!” they wrote. “We became husband and wife in front of God, our families, and those we love. It was intimate, moving, and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us, and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani, who created a once-in-a-lifetime dress for me to wear, and for Chris, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed.”
