Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt are one step closer to walking down the aisle!
The couple celebrated their impending nuptials on Saturday with a bridal shower at the home of Schwarzenegger's mom, Maria Shriver, People reports. The outdoor event was decorated with flowers and candles, and Schwarzenegger matched the ambiance in a long white, spaghetti-strap column dress with a quilted lace pattern and tiered fringe accents, and her long hair was pulled back to one side with a white hair clip. The guest list included the bride's dad, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oprah Winfrey, and some of her closest family and friends.
Chris Pratt also made an appearance at the event to toast his bride-to-be.
"Katherine was glowing the whole afternoon and having the best time celebrating with her friends and family,” a source told People. “Katherine lit up when Chris arrived. He also gave a sweet toast. They were adorable together and he wanted her to have all the attention,”
Pratt and Schwarzenegger was first linked on Father's Day (June 17) 2018, and the Guardians of the Galaxy actor popped the question in January of this year. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️," he wrote alongside a photo announcing the news. "My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you ♥️💍," Schwarzenegger captioned the same photo on her own feed.
And fans can reportedly expect the couple's wedding to be as intimate as their shower. “Chris and Katherine’s wedding will be a very intimate affair with just their closest loved ones,” a source told People. “They don’t want it to be a circus. The focus will be their commitment to each other, and God will play a very large role on their big day. It’s been such a special time not just for them, but also for their families. Everyone is so excited. ”Pratt and Schwarzenegger have bonded deeply over their shared faith since the beginning of their relationship, so their big day will likely also be a religious affair.
And according to Pratt, it will be "a little, you know, maybe fall, winter kind of thing," so everyone get ready to watch your Instagram feeds every Saturday from September to March.
