It's been over two weeks since Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their separation, crushing fans' hearts everywhere. However, a new report reveals that the couple has since entered couples counseling, but don't get your hopes up just yet. Faris and Pratt have decided to seek the advice of a therapist in order to make their relationship work for their son, Jack.
“They are going through couples counseling now, which is what you do when you want to divorce and there are children involved,” a source revealed to People. “It won’t likely change the status but it could help with their future coparenting.” If you're hoping for a reconciliation, "never say never," said the source, but it's very unlikely. The couple's marriage allegedly faced some serious issues around their work schedules and Pratt's growing fame.
“Their work separations have taken a toll, and it is not likely that the marriage can be repaired enough to work right now,” the source continued. “But there is still love between them.”
Life continues for Faris, who made her first statement on the separation via her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified. "Hey, dear listeners: I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I’ve been receiving, and I truly love you,” she said at the top of the episode. During a separate episode, the actress spoke a bit more candidly about the split when a caller asked for relationship advice.
"Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you. Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right," she told the listener. "I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence."
