Chris Hemsworth took some time off from saving the world to celebrate his birthday over the weekend, and his family and friends made sure he knew just how much he was loved by posting photos and videos to Instagram in his honor.
The action star turned 35 on Saturday, and spent the day surrounded by his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their three children, 6-year-old daughter India Rose and 4-year-old twin boys Tristan and Sasha. To celebrate the day, Pataky shared a sweet photo of she and her husband of eight years and declared her love in the caption.
"Happy birthday to my biggest child! I love you to death @chrishemsworth .Let’s be kids forever!!/ felicidades al mayor de mis niños. Te amo con locura. Seamos siempre niños. ❤️," she wrote alongside a shot of the two of them.
The couple was married in December 2010, and has never been shy about sharing how much they love one another — with both regularly posting similarly sweet messages to Instagram. And at home, Hemsworth makes it a point to constantly tell his bride how much he loves her — though admits that he could possibly up his game a little bit in the romance department.
"My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn't really see each other for a few years, then fell back in love," he said in a 2017 interview with GQ Australia. "I don't write [love letters], but maybe I should. There's no shortage of how much I tell her I love her. But I guess there's no detail in it, why or how."
As for how Hemsworth rang in his big day, it involved a lot of cake... more of which apparently wound up on his face than in his mouth. The Avengers star posted a photo of he and Pataky posing with a beautiful white frosted cake, which apparently didn't stay so beautiful for long. “Immediately after this shot was taken my son viciously attacked me from behind (due to his ninja training) and slammed my face into the flaming candles,” Hemsworth captioned the shot.
If the birthday itself is any indication, 35 is going to be a great year to be Chris Hemsworth.
