That's amore! Chiara Ferragni is officially a married woman. Last night, the fashion entrepreneur and influencer behind the Blonde Salad married Federico Leonardo Lucia, better known as Fedez, in a wedding heard round the (social media) world. And it's no surprise why! There were three custom Dior dresses, an grand castle setting, a performance by the groom...
But the epic-ness of the event started before guests even arrived. First, the couple flew their closest friends and family members on a chartered Alitalia flight to Noto, Italy, where the wedding would take place. The plane was branded with the weekend's hashtag #TheFerragnez (because, of course) on everything from the tarmac to the Pringles in each snack box. Then, once everyone landed, the festivities kicked off on Friday night with the rehearsal dinner at the historic Noto Bassi di Palazzo Nicolaci. Chiara revealed the first of her bridal looks: A custom beaded dress by Prada. She paired the glittering gown with glam gold makeup.
On the big day itself, the bride worked with planner Alessandra Grillo of Brothers & Sisters and designer Vincenzo Dascanio to dream up a ceremony that looked as if it was straight out of a fairy tale. The event took place at Dimora Delle Balze, where the enchanted castle setting (actually, a chic boutique hotel) was dressed with an abundance of florals—from trees filled with white roses at the altar to an aisle lined with flower-covered arches and bunches of white hydrangea on each side
Vogue reveals that the bride walked down the aisle in a custom gown by Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior. “Dior has always been one of my favorite brands, and I love what Maria Grazia Chiuri does,” she said. “So my dream was to get married in one of her creations.” The Dior Haute Couture design featured a lace bodice, mock neckline, and tulle skirt. It looked traditional, iconic, and timeless—but with a modern twist. Below the tulle overskirt, the bride was actually wearing a romper!
Chiara and Fedez exchanged Pomellato wedding bands in front of a dramatic backdrop—and colorful smoke bombs went off after they were officially wed! The pair was surrounded by Chiara's bridesmaids, who wore custom gowns by Alberta Ferretti that were made from sustainable fabrics. Little Leone, the couple's infant son, took part in the ceremony and wore a custom outfit by Dior for the special occasion.
After the ceremony, the celebration transitioned to a second over-the-top space nearby. There, long dinner tables were set up below an immense canopy of twinkle lights.
For the reception, the bride changed into a second custom creation by Dior. This design, which required 600,000 hours of work and 400 meters of fabric to make, featured a bustier bodice and jumpsuit base atop a voluminous tulle skirt. The material was embroidered with lyrics from “Favorisca I Sentimenti,” the song Fedez wrote to propose to Chiara last May. (Watch the epic vid here if you haven't already!)
And speaking of videos: You can watch the rest of the night unfold on the bride's Instagram stories, but know it was full of surprises and creative wedding ideas (for you to copy!). For one, the couple cut into a hanging cake, shown above, as fireworks went off in the distance. Chiara also changed into a third and final look (a short skirt, paired with the second gown's bodice).
Finally, the newlyweds surprised their guests with the "the Ferragnez Amusement Park," complete with a ferris wheel, carousel, and even mini-me versions of the bride and groom in a prize booth. And the night ended much as the couple's epic engagement began—with a performance by the groom!
We can't wait to see more details come to life as the bride, groom, and their 120 lucky guests continue to post away. But for now: Head over to Vogue for even more details—and congrats to the happy couple on their Instagram-worthy celebration!
