The 34-year-old bride-to-be took to Twitter on Sunday, September 9 to announce her selection, where she shared a photo of herself, Remini, and her fiancé, Boy Meets World star Matthew Lawrence. “She said yes! #maidofhonor,” Burke wrote beside the sweet snapshot. “So excited to have you be part of such a special time in our lives @LeahRemini!”
“We’ll be rooting for you at the #Emmys tonight,” Burke added. Remini's latest project, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Informational Series or Special.
In August, Burke first revealed that Remini, who competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2013, would be in her wedding, and now it looks like the former King of Queens star has scored a bridal party promotion!
The bride-to-be also previously shared that her fellow DWTS alum Kym Johnson scored a bridesmaid slot, and Johnson has already proven that she's taking her job very seriously, as she hosted a lavish engagement party for Burke and Lawrence in late July in Los Angeles. The groom's Boy Meets World costar Ben Savage was sure to attend to show his support for the couple.
Lawrence popped the question to Burke on her 34th birthday in early May. “OMG! So far so good for 34! 💍#amilliontimesyes #imengaged#herecomesthebride,” Burke captioned a photo on Instagram, showing off her massive diamond engagement ring.
The couple has yet to announce a wedding date, but with "choose a maid of honor" now officially crossed off of this bride's to-do list, hopefully the wedding isn't too far off. “We definitely want to get married as soon as possible,” the couple told Us Weekly at the time of their engagement.
