Charlotte Church is a married woman!
The classical Welsh singer and songwriter posted a stunning wedding photo to her nearly 166,000 Twitter followers on Wednesday, sharing the news about her nuptials with longtime boyfriend Jonny Powell. "Seriously happy people 😍😍😍😍" she captioned the post.
Church, 31, and Powell, 30, dated for nearly seven years before tying the knot on September 16 in Cardiff, Wales. The two officially wed at the Cardiff Register Office at City Hall, but held a romantic ceremony filled with gorgeous hanging florals and lush greenery at their home in Dinas Powys, Wales. Church wore a white, off-the-shoulder gown with a flower crown—looking appropriately fairy-like for her whimsical-style wedding. Her now-husband sported a colorful patterned suit.
The gorgeous wedding photos were taken by her cousin, photographer Elliot Cooper.
The singer's exciting news comes only a few months after a tragic announcement. In June, Church revealed in a statement on Twitter that she and Powell had lost their baby to a miscarriage, just weeks after announcing their pregnancy.
“Charlotte and [musician Jonny Powell] are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family,” the statement read. “We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace.”
The baby, which was due in November, would have been Church's third child. She is also mother to daughter Ruby, nine, and son Dexter, eight, whom she shares with her ex, rugby player Gavin Henson.
Church rose to fame as a child for her strong vocal talent in the classical genre, and is especially known for her breakout album, Voice of an Angel. The singer later branched into pop music, remaining a musical icon in Wales today.
