It's been a very good year for Olympic ice dancer Charlie White! The athlete won a gold medal at the Olympics in February with partner Meryl Davis, and now he's engaged to longtime girlfriend Tanith Belbin!
White proposed to Belbin, a Canadian ice dancer whom he's dated for five years, in Hawaii, and posted a beautiful Instagram (seen above) to announce the news. "Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life! Hashtag she said yes!!!" he captioned the photo, in which Belbin's engagement ring is visible. (If he looks slightly different than he did a few months ago, it's because he finally cut his signature mop of shaggy blonde hair. Looks like he's taking the part of a grown-up groom-to-be!)

"She gets it," he told People of his girlfriend in March. "She won the silver medal in 2006 with her partner Ben Agosto, and people were always like, 'Are you guys dating?' It's just something you get as dancers. [Her understanding] makes my life so much easier."
White and his skating partner Davis sparked romance rumors during their flawless ice dancing performances in Sochi, but their post-Olympic lives have proved that their chemistry is for the ice only. Davis recently won Dancing with the Stars and is rumored to be dating her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
