We still can’t believe it’s been eight years since Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum were married. Since falling in love on the set of Step Up, the couple can’t help but gush over (and about) each other while on the red carpet, during interviews, and on Instagram. To celebrate eights years of married bliss, let’s take a quick look back at this gorgeous couple’s big day.
The actor and brunette beauty said their “I dos” at Malibu’s private Church Estate Vineyard on July 11, 2009 with at least 220 guests present. The sweeping space was furnished with all-white décor, with pepper trees filled with white and blush florals around the altar. The bride walked down the aisle in a stunning Reem Acra wedding dress, featuring a strapless lace bodice and feathered skirt, and sweeping veil. The groom appeared to look especially handsome (naturally) in a black Giorgio Armani suit.
As for the bridal party — which included Haylie Duff as a bridesmaid and Emmanuelle Chriqui as the maid of honor — the bridesmaids donned strapless blush gowns and held bouquets with a mix of white and baby pink florals, while the groomsmen wore black tuxedos.
The wedding rings were designed by celeb jeweler Neil Lane, and among the star-studded guest list, attendees included Marlon Wayans and Nick Zano. The wedding, planned by Mindy Weiss, paid tribute to the couple’s love of fairies, as two flower girls walked down the aisle wearing wings.
Following the stunning outdoor "I dos", the reception took place in a tent decorated by Mark’s Garden with thousands of roses, hydrangeas and orchids in reds, fuchsia and blush, and the couple enjoyed their first dance to Hawaiian artist Israel “Iz” Ka’ano’i Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere over the Rainbow.”
Let’s get to dessert. In keeping with the theme, the wedding cake was in the shape of a magic castle filled with fairies (obv) in several tasty flavors: red velvet, chocolate with fudge, and white with “funfetti” frosting. To finish off the night, guests were given crystal favors.
Happy Anniversary to the Tatums!
