The fireworks are flying! Chance the Rapper has a lot to celebrate this Fourth of July. The musician is officially engaged after popping the question at a backyard party. We guess nothing goes better with red, white, and blue than a bit of bling!
According to People, Chance the Rapper got down on one knee at a backyard Fourth of July party in front of friends, family, and, of course, his new bride-to-be: his longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley. The rapper's brother, Taylor Bennett, took to Instagram to announce the news with a photo of his newly engaged brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law. “Proposed In The Hunninds! @chancetherapper You A Real One! 7-4-18 #BlockBoys," Bennett captioned the snapshot.
The Instagram account, The Shade Room, also posted a video of the big moment in which Chance the Rapper popped the question. “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” he asked his love in the video.
One can assume that their backyard Fourth of July bash turned into an engagement party, as Corley accepted the sweet marriage proposal. Chance the Rapper confirmed the engagement himself, tweeting, "She said yes."
Chance the Rapper and Corley began dating back in 2013, according to People. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Kensli Bennett, in September 2015.
