Chance the Rapper is really excited to be getting married. He tweeted live from his engagement party on Sunday where he was surrounded by family, friends, and of course his fiancée, Kirsten Corley.
“I have slight goosebumps,” the tweet read. “I’m at MY engagement party surrounded by my family and best friends and the woman I need. I feel so honored and God just real talk has a plan for me and like I just needed to let him guide me real talk Just had to share that, done wit twitter for the day.”
Real talk, our hearts are melting. Chance and Corley got engaged over the summer on the Fourth of July, when a backyard party turned into an impromptu engagement celebration after the “No Problem” singer popped the question.
In a video posted to the Shade Room on Instagram, Chance got down on one knee and said, “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” The answer was obviously yes and the couple has been going strong ever since.
Since the engagement, the couple—who have been together since 2013 and had their first daughter Kensli in 2015—have been much more open about their relationship. Corley has increasingly become a staple on the rapper‘s Instagram and he does not miss a moment to celebrate his fiancée.
From sharing cute pics from their travels to Japan to family photos, he always finds a away to remind his followers that the couple's faith is at the center of their union. “Thank you Father, I know your grace so well through this woman,” Chance the Rapper captioned a photo of him and his soon-to-be wife. "I trust your plan, and though I fall short I am reminded of your presence through your Word, which we read in fellowship.”
Most recently, he shared a throwback from Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary party featuring Chance not being able to take his eyes off his fiancé. Naturally, he captioned it with a bride emoji and the words “to be.”
