Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" is arguably one of the most epic wedding songs of all time. And one couple's first dance was made even more epic when Celine Dion herself showed up to sing it live.
It all went down in Las Vegas earlier this week, with a little help from Jimmy Kimmel. Jason and Kate, who are both members of the Air Force stationed in Colorado, were getting married in a studio near where the Jimmy Kimmel Live host was taping an episode of his show in Las Vegas. Kimmel decided to surprise them on the alter to preside over the ceremony. Next, David Spade inexplicably showed up to give the happy couple some tequila shots. Then, after Jimmy Kimmel pronounced Jason and Kate as man and wife, Celine Dion walked in to serenade them for their first dance, and it was everything.
This isn't the first time that Celine Dion has helped play a part in her fans' big day. In 2017, Nick Janevski, popped the question to his girlfriend, Austin McMillan, during a meet and greet at one of the singer's shows in Vegas. "It's kind of a blur but she was very sweet. She said that she wished us a long and happy marriage like she had with her husband," McMillan said at the time. "She complimented my ring and also asked if she could come to the wedding." Though she didn't seem to make it to their event in the end, she did give Jason and Kate a night of their own to remember.
And Celine isn't the only celeb who's stepped in to serenade her fans in the name of love. Taylor Swift recently helped a man propose to his boyfriend with a rendition of "King of My Heart," and needless to say, he said yes. Now, does anyone know how the rest of us can book Celine Dion (... or Taylor Swift) for our own weddings?
