December is one of the most popular months of the year to get engaged, and it's no mystery why: Cozy evenings indoors, family get-togethers left and right, glitzy celebrations practically made for grand gestures, and the list goes on. This holiday season, tons of celebs dove right in to the most romantic time of year. Dwyane Wade proposed to Gabrielle Union, Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting got married, Johannes Huebl popped the question to Olivia Palermo, and more. But their star-studded engagements and weddings were just the icing on the wedding cake! We found three more celebrity couples that enjoyed a love-filled end of the year.
Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki
Did you think Kim Kardashian's engagement ring was the most sparkly one you'd see for a long time? If you did, you thought wrong! Golf star Rory McIlroy, who won the 2011 U.S. Open, proposed to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki with a 5-carat rock that reportedly cost £125,000 (about $205,000). The Northern Irish golfer, ranked six in the world for his sport, popped the question on New Year's Eve. "Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang!" Wozniacki, the Danish-born tenth-best tennis player in the world, Tweeted with the above photo collage. "I said YES!!!!" The couple of more than two years are close rivals to Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn's sports power couple status. If they tie the knot first, they may just steal that title!

Eve and Maximillion Cooper
Singer and actress Eve got a very special Christmas present this year. She accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend of more than two years, British designer and Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper! Before E! News confirmed the engagement, Eve sent rumor mills swirling on Monday when she posted a photo that featured a large, sparkly ring on her left hand. Now that the news is official, we'd love to get a better look at that engagement ring.

Christy Carlson Romano and Brendan Rooney
Fans of the early 2000s Disney Channel show Even Stevens will recognize Romano as Louis Stevens (aka Shia LaBeouf)'s older sister Ren. On New Year's Eve, Romano took on the only role that could rival that classic part: Wife. She and longtime boyfriend Brendan Rooney married at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Alberta, Canada, in front of 50 guests. Romano said "I do" in a winter-appropriate Lazaro wedding dress. People shared a gorgeous photo of the newlyweds posing in front of their snowy wedding venue. Canada can get chilly in December, but the pair looks sufficiently warm and happy.
Congratulations to all of these happy couples!
