Make no mistake — country girls know what's important in life and Carrie Underwood is no exception! Despite the glitz and glam of her star-studded career, the country crooner proved that family is her number one priority during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she couldn't stop adorably gushing over her baby boy!
This little family is just too cute! We've been obsessing over Underwood and her hubby, NHL player Mike Fisher, since their charming plantation wedding back in the summer of 2010. And from the sound of it, the couple is just as strong as Underwood's vocal chops. "He's great," she told Ellen DeGeneres of her hockey hunk's new role as a doting dad. "I think we're both really good at picking up the slack when the other one is super busy."
As for her tiny tot, Entertainment Tonight reports that according to his country-loving mama, he's the sweetest baby that ever was! "He's the sweetest and smiliest baby, I think, ever," Underwood said of her eight-month-old, Isaiah. "So, that's a blessing when you're waking up at three o'clock in the morning. [When] he's smiling at you, that makes it not so bad." But as any new mom can appreciate, Underwood also shared that she's fortunate enough to actually have a baby who sleeps through the night! "He kind of whines. It's not ever a full-on cry," she said. "It's getting a lot better. A few nights a week, he'll give us all night long." An American Idol winner and the mom to a near-perfection baby? Underwood sure is a lucky girl!
