Call me maybe? Well, if we're ever in need of a wedding officiant, we definitely know to who to give a ring. Pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen recently officiated the wedding of her BFF, and just shared a too-sweet snap from the ceremony.
We're all for having friends and family officiate weddings. It adds a personal touch to the ceremony, don't you think? And having a famous friend take the job? Well, that's just undeniably even cooler. "Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen was that famous friend when she took on wedding officiant duties at the recent nuptials of her bestie Alex Jillian, Entertainment Tonight reports.
"That time I got to marry my two best friends. It was a good day. Yas!!!" the songstress/ordained officiant wrote on Twitter, captioning a photo from the wedding. In the pic, Jepsen is seen wearing a pale pink strapless dress as she stands in the middle of the altar, proudly pronouncing her two friends husband and wife.
Jepsen isn't the first celebrity to moonlight as a wedding officiant. Jersey Shore's Snooki previously officiated the wedding of her two hairstylists. And Kesha's an old pro at the "I do's." The "Woman" singer first became ordained in 2012 in order to wed two of her gal pals. Later in 2015, she also helped her friend and hairstylist, Vittorio Masecchia, and his hubby, Felipe Noqueira, tie the knot—making Jepsen not the first, but the latest celeb to add '"wedding officiant" to her resumé.
Keep in mind that it wasn't long ago that we predicted that Jepsen would be up at the altar—but as the bride. As ET points out, earlier this year the singer was spotted out and about with some suspicious-looking bling on her left ring finger, leading fans to wonder if Jepsen was engaged. "I always forget that that's what that finger means," Jepsen explained to ET. "I mean if this is what my husband got me, we're gonna have to go back and get a new one," she joked, referring to the size of the bauble. Hey! Hasn't anyone ever told Jepsen sparkler size doesn't matter?!
"I'm not engaged," Jepsen clarified. "Not even a boyfriend." Guess for now we'd have to settle for Jepsen standing at the altar as officiant.
