Another day, another reality TV wedding special. Shortly after Cardi B and rapper Offset's surprise engagement, multiple networks have allegedly started to seal the deal on a potential wedding special that can promise big bucks for the couple. How much, you ask? The special is reportedly worth over one million dollars. According to TMZ, BET, VH1 and WE tv have expressed interest in featuring the couple's wedding day on the small screen, and the deal would be similar to Gucci Mane and wife Keyshia Ka'oir's lavish onscreen nuptials.
VH1's Mona Scott-Young has already called dibs on a possible special after BET first expressed their interest in featuring the couple. "Love ya BET but [we got this]," she wrote in her response via Instagram, pictured below. "Another check from Mona Scott."
TMZ continued to report that the couple is indeed down for a television special, and are currently mulling over offers. In any case, Cardi is still in shock over her engagement, as she gushed over the moment during an interview with Us Weekly. “I did say yes! I couldn’t believe it,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said. “I froze and all I could do was look at that motherf—king ring, like really looking at that huge rock speechless.”
“[I thought] ‘Is that real? Is that even a real f—king rock?’” she continued. “That s—t is real, cause I know it is because he got it from my jeweler and I just f—king love him so much. He’s finally locking me in and I feel like I really locked him in.”
Offset popped the question with an 8-carat diamond sparkler during last week's Power 99 radio’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia. The couple took the stage together, and as Cardi was speaking to the crowd, the Migos member surprised her with the proposal.
