Hollywood engagement season continues: First Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, then Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, and now Brittany Snow! The Pitch Perfect actress confirmed on social media on Tuesday that she and boyfriend, Tyler Stanaland, were engaged.
"A couple weeks ago, I said “YES” about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams," Snow, 32, posted on Instagram, alongside a carousel of three black-and-white photos of her cuddling up to Stanaland at a restaurant. "After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know... this happened. ✨I’m still pinching myself and thanking my lucky stars for the truest feeling I’ve ever felt. Thank you @tylerstanaland for the happiest day of my life & for not proposing in this creepy empty restaurant," she continued.
The third photo in Snow's gallery shows off her sparkly new accessory: a timeless, thin diamond band topped with a round, solitaire diamond.
Stanaland, a realtor, also took to Instagram to celebrate his new fiancée. "A few weeks ago, I asked @brittanysnow one of the most important questions I may ever ask. Forever? Luckily she said yes and we’ve spent the last little while celebrating the old fashioned way, together and with close friends and family," he penned, continuing, "I don’t know how I got so lucky and I don’t know that I really understood what love is until you. Everything changed when we met. You are the most beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, caring, incredible human and I couldn’t be more excited to do life with you.
Here’s to forever and making our wildest dreams come true. Love you to the moon and back. 🌙
(With an engagement announcement like that, we can't wait to hear Stanaland's vows!)
The duo has yet to reveal how the proposal actually went down or how they met. But Snow, who has previously been very private about her love life, did open up in September to Us Weekly about being in love and not caring who knew.
"I'm very public about it for the first time in my life and that's very strange to me," she said at the time. "I made a conscious decision—I'm very private and I made a conscious decision to, I don't know, be less hard on myself." She continued: "I keep things very to myself because I feel like the magic gets lost if you promote it too much, but I don’t know!"
Let's hope the actress's decision to be more public about her romance means she'll be sharing her wedding planning journey and nuptials with the world soon.
