If ever there were a literary figure who knew how to throw a party, it was Jay Gatsby. Which is why it makes sense that Vanderpump Rules star Brittany Cartwright took a page straight out of his book and hosted a Gatsby-style bridal shower in honor of her upcoming nuptials.

The reality star is set to wed costar Jax Taylor (whose real name is Jason Cauchi) on June 29th, and traveled to her hometown in Kentucky this past weekend to host a bridal shower and a mini bachelorette party, E! News reports. She posted a photo to Instagram of herself in a long white flapper dress, which she accessorized with matching gloves, a white boa, long pearls, and a bejeweled headpiece that could have come straight out of the 1920s. She posed in front of a marquee-style sign at the Roxy in Lexington, Kentucky, that read, "Tonight at QP, Brittany Gets Jaxxed, 6.29.19." Her friends were also reportedly decked out in prohibition-era wear too.

Taylor posted some photos from the event to his own feed, too, sharing a picture of his future wife with the caption, "My beautiful bride to be. 👰🏼"

According to E!, in addition to her bridal shower Cartwright also hosted an R-rated bachelorette party on Friday night (one of two that she plans to attend)—complete with "team bride" shot glasses and "some other phallic-shaped and NSFW souvenirs." Taylor also shared a picture of his bride-to-be from her big night out, writing, "Glowing!!!! Hope you’re having fun baby. (Bachelorette party one of two) 👰🏼💃🏻"

The couple has been together for several years, and Taylor popped the question in June of last year. "Omg omg!!!!!!!!,” Cartwright wrote on Instagram with a ring selfie. “We are ENGAGED! What a way to start our summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now. 💝👑 love can win 💝💝”

“I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!! 💍," Taylor wrote on Instagram, sharing the same photos.

And now, the countdown is on to when they return to Kentucky to make it official on "6.29.19."
