Who said girls can't have platonic guy friends? Definitely not this 24-year-old bride. Rebeca Sinohara, a computer engineering student from Itajubá, Brazil, got a little depressed after pining over other women's pre-wedding beauty prep photos. While the techie bride has had girlfriends in the past, none have ever really become "BFF-status," so her search for a bridal party was cut short. That is, until she decided to invite her guy friends to don pink robes before her big day instead.
"In my engineering classroom there were 56 guys and only four girls, so it's not like I had a lot of choice," Rebeca told BuzzFeed News. "They are really great friends, and I had no doubt they would do this for me."
In the pictures, it's pretty plain to see how much her bros really adore her. We mean, they put on those pink robes with pride! Not only that, but they shaved their (presumably very hairy) legs right by her side in some pretty hilar photos.
"The guys totally loved the idea right away," Rebeca told BuzzFeed. She also said she had "originally planned for something simple with just cell phone photos of them in the robes, but then her makeup guy got involved and the photo shoot became much more elaborate."
As for her fiancè, Renato Sinohara, he was kinda bummed he wasn't able to be included in the LOL-worthy pictures, but still managed to laugh regardless during the whole shoot. A week before her wedding day arrived, the bride posted the photos to her Facebook account saying, "When the bride doesn't have any girlfriends, it's time to call her bros. This is what happens to a girl in Computer Engineering." And, as you can imagine, it quickly went viral.
Users commented on the post with furor. Lígia Mendes Boareto said, "If I get married on day, it will be like this." Umm, yaaas! We need more bridesmen pics, ladies. Others noted how hilarious the photos were with lots of emojis and exclamation marks.
On her actual wedding day, all five of her bridesmen were there to witness her vows. "The wedding was simply amazing," Rebeca told BuzzFeed. "Renato and I share a great love, and it's easy for people to see and feel that when they are around us. It was a very simple and intimate event, and everything was planned just the way we like." The best part about the ceremony? "I can say for sure all the five guys cried." Of course they did. That's what best friends do.
