Apparently there's nothing better than spending your wedding day with a couple of wedding crashers. Michael Tufo and his now-wife Karen Fox Tufo were in for an interesting surprise on their wedding night. Along with their invited guests, the newlyweds celebrated with an unknown couple who joined them at their New Jersey wedding reception for drinks, dancing, and wedding cake.
According to reports, the bride and groom had noticed the couple at the reception, but assumed that the other one had invited them. Classic. Every time they went to greet the duo, they were distracted by other family members and friends. But at the end of the night, they found a very special gift from the wedding crashers: a Polaroid photo of the couple and a note that read, "Dear Fox's, 1) Congratulations 2) Sorry for crashing your wedding 3) Best of luck!!" along with a single dollar bill they left, "A buck for luck." You know, because $1 is the standard wedding gift amount.
But despite having two total strangers attend and take advantage of their expensive celebration, the newlyweds were great sports about the entire situation. Tufo is even trying to find the mystery couple now, not to reprimand them for their sneaky activities, but to buy them a drink.
The bride took to Facebook to find her wedding crashers, writing, "I'd like to thank everyone who shared our special day with us... especially these 2! Well played my friends... well played!!! I need to meet these people and buy them a drink. Professional job! You gave us the best wedding present anyone could ever ask for!" (Really?)
The groom also reached out on Facebook, posting, "Anyone know them???? Wedding crashers! Lololol for real."
After all, as Vince Vaughn once put it, “It’s wedding season, kid!”
