Your dress should feel like you.
"Don't choose a dress because it's the style that all of your friends chose or because you think it is what people will want to or expect to see you wear — instead, choose a dress that embodies how you feel as a lady."

Personalize with a belt.
"Most wedding dresses accentuate your waist, so consider finding a belt that is unique to you — not the one that comes on the dress. Do not be afraid to find a beautiful necklace and have it made into a belt!"
Opt for vintage.
"My rings were my favorite wedding-day accessory: I had my mother's wedding band, a diamond eternity band that my husband gave me for my 22nd birthday and another that he gave me for our five-year anniversary. Each of the rings were delicate, subtle, but had so much history. I suggest foregoing 'trendy' jewelry for family heirlooms. No one else can ever replicate that look."
"I wore lash extensions on my big day — they last right through all of the hugs and tears and even look great the next morning. Plus, there was no risk of smudged mascara on my face."
