Is yet another drama-filled storm brewing between the Kardashian Clan and Blac Chyna? Ruh roh.
We mean, after Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris and Kanye had a mental breakdown, not to mention the recent news that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are back together AGAIN, you'd think the reality TV stars would avoid headlines at all costs. But alas, what would we do without our daily dose of Keeping Up With The Kardashians news?
In the latest head-scratching story about Blac Chyna — who recently gave birth to an adorable baby girl named Dream — it is seeming as though the bride-to-be won't be able to use Rob Kardashian's last name after they tie the knot in their springtime wedding. Why exactly? Well, after Blac Chyna filed a trademark for the name "Angela Renee Kardashian" for business and entertainment purposes, the Kardashian family simply isn't having it.
"Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé's companies are opposing Chyna's request to trademark [the name]" because apparently "if Chyna gets the trademark they'll suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill," TMZ said of documents they obtained. These documents even went on to say that Chyna's attempt at securing a trademark of the KUWTK name is "deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity" of the Kardashian name.
But before everyone goes freaking out about how unfair the Kardashians are being to their future sister-in-law, it's worth noting that neither Kim, Kourtney, NOR Khloé have made any formal statements regarding this whole situation. E! News actually spoke to a family source who explained that the three sisters may not even know Blac Chyna's request is being blocked. "Their trademark attorneys automatically oppose anyone trying to trademark 'Kardashian,'" the source said. "I doubt the girls were even aware. Everyone loves each other. It's just business."
Phew. We hope this legal dispute gets settled ASAP so everyone can Just.Be.Happy.Already. Plus, we shamelessly really want all of the Kardashian clan to attend Chyna and Rob's sure-to-be majestic wedding this spring so we can ogle over the fashionable photos — and maybe even watch some drama go down. Sorry not sorry?
