It seems to be a Say Yes to the Dress mainstay that there's always one bride on every episode who makes claims of an unlimited budget. But do all of those big budget ladies truly have several billion dollars to drop on their "I do's?" We think not. But there's someone out there who certainly does. Said Gutseriev, the son of Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Gutseriev (who totes a $6.2 billion net worth, according to Forbes), clearly meant it when he told his beautiful bride that money was no object and they made due on that claim with their lavish, opulent, and frankly, insane wedding that's taking over Instagram. But with several flower walls that would put Kimye's to shame, an over-the-top Elie Saab gown, and oh yeah, a "wedding band" consisting of Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, and Sting, it's certainly not hard to see why.
Being the heir to an oil fortune certainly has its perks, doesn't it? Especially when it comes to tying the knot. Like any billionaire bride, Gutseriev's new wife, Khadija Uzhakhovs, wore a custom couture creation for her "I do's." Designed by celebrity favorite Elie Saab, it seems to cover all the basis when it comes to fantasy frocks. Is it impossibly sparkly? Check. Could you hide at least six children underneath its train? Yup. Can the bride barely walk under the weight of it? According to the video below, unfortunately. What's not to love?
Of course decadent décor was a necessity and sorry, Kim Kardashian, but your floral budget has got nothing on these Russian sweethearts. (Just two white rose covered structures, Kim? That's child's play.) Gutseriev and Uzhakhovs outfitted every inch their opulent, ornate venue in colorful blooms from floor to ceiling, including countless flower walls and lush blooming canopies. Eat your heart out, Kardashian.
During the reception, the wedding party was treated to Grammy-worthy performances by superstars J.Lo, Enrique Iglesias, and Sting. But you won't find that wedding band on WeddingWire... According to Buzzfeed, J.Lo apparently made at least three costume changes during her performance and gave a shoutout to the newlyweds. Iglesias kept things casual, performing at the wedding wearing a baseball hat and jeans. And Sting sang "Desert Rose" because of course.
Think the guests were hungry after all that dancing? Think again. The outrageous night concluded with a sky-high wedding cake, probably still taller than the bride and groom if they were standing on each other's shoulders. Why, you ask? Why not! It's a billionaire's bash! But, hey, we're not knocking low-cost "I do's." Remember, it was J.Lo who sang "Love Don't Cost a Thing..."
