Yesterday marked eight years to the day that Bill Rancic proposed to now-wife Giuliana, and the Apprentice winner-turned businessman and author has zero regrets. During an interview with ABC News, Bill opened up about life with his wife and son, and how proposing to the E! News host was the best decision he has ever made.
"Looking back almost a decade, obviously it's gotten better every year, for us and especially for me," Bill said. "I have a son Duke and wife, who continues to challenge and inspire me everyday."
Bill even recounted the very beginning of their relationship, and how he knew from the start that he had found someone truly special. "I still remember our first date, almost nine years ago and I never went on another date after that," he said. "We knew instantly. We were having dinner in Malibu and we were making plans for three, four months out. That was on our first date."

Once he was certain that Giuliana was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, he explains that his excitement may have gotten the best of him. During a romantic helicopter ride over Chicago to view Christmas lights (equipped with bubbly champagne and Michael Buble music!), Bill got down on one knee to pop the question. "But, I knelt on the champagne class. It shattered and even thought it wasn't the smoothest move in the world, I still proposed... It's pretty exciting. I was thrilled. I had no question."
Now the couple is happier than ever, and, according to Bill, considering growing their family. "As for expanding our family, the plan is definitely to give him a brother or sister. I'm not getting any younger, so if we are going to do it, we better do it soon," he shared.
