Beyoncé really knows how to make the world stop. The 36-year-old singer, along with husband Jay-Z, dropped a surprise album, Everything Is Love, on Sunday night in the midst of their joint On the Run II tour and, naturally, followed it up with a music video for the song "Apes**t". This wasn't just any video, though—the Carters rented out the iconic Louvre museum in Paris and incorporated famous pieces of art, including the Mona Lisa, into the production.
But leave it to Queen Bey to outshine centuries-old masterpieces with her own flawless looks, which are almost as precious as the priceless works scattered throughout the video. According to Page Six, Beyoncé wore a wedding dress by Stéphane Rolland worth €120,000, or about $138,748. She accessorized with a ruffled cape from Alexis Mabille Haute Couture and poses in front of “The Winged Victory of Samothrace,” a marble sculpture of Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. And, being Beyoncé, the singer doesn't simply wear the six-figure dress, she crawls around on the floor in it, flails around the skirt and, generally goes apes**t.
Fashion is a major part of the video, which features other looks by stylist Zerina Akers, including a pink Peter Pilotto pantsuit, MCM logo–covered bustier and overcoat designed by Misa Hylton, and a Burberry bra-and-leggings set for Beyoncé, plus multiple suits—in mint, nude, and many other prints—for Jay-Z.
The "Apesh**t" video is not the only time Beyoncé donned a wedding dress recently. Bey and Jay renewed their wedding vows after celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in April, and Beyoncé wore a $12,000 off-the-shoulder dress by Galia Lahav for the occasion.
