1: The Dingle Peninsula, Ireland

If there’s one couple who knows a thing or two about seeking out the finest drone content on the planet, it’s Toronto-based Vacation Couple Kristin and Shadi. The pair have a pretty enviable job, traveling to exotic locales to produce wanderlust content that will make you stop dead in your Instagram feed, and one of their recent drone footage highlights was Ireland—specifically the views along the Dingle Peninsula, Ventry Beach, and the local marina. “The Dingle Peninsula offers up spectacular coastal views of Ireland with its rolling green hills, steep sea-cliffs, and sandy beaches,” says Kristin and Shadi. “Each turn along the route holds a new breathtaking location that only a drone can capture. We recommend driving the entire route, ending in the colorful town of Dingle, the westernmost point of Ireland. The route tells a story of romance that no other place on earth can.” Stay at the Dingle Skellig Hotel, where you’ll find polished contemporary decor inside and a sultry hot tub outside.

2: Chateau Courtomer, Normandy, France

At Chateau de Courtomer, there are two ways to get an extraordinary aerial shot: Fly your drone to capture the beauty of this dreamy 18th-century French château and its surrounding gardens; or you can take off directly from the property in a hot air balloon for one of the most thrilling and romantic experiences of your lives—complete with all the iPhone pics, Hyperlapses, and Boomerangs your little heart desires. Set in Normandy, a romance-filled trip to France really doesn’t get any better than this, folks. With a picture-perfect grand staircase inside, plenty of customizable outdoor spaces, and lots of fine French delicacies to be had on your dinner menu, it ain’t half bad for a wedding either. Just look at these photos.

3: Ram’s Head Inn, Shelter Island, NY

Located in the East End of Long Island, which is also home to the Hamptons, some of New York state’s most decorated beauty is on full display in Shelter Island, a place known for being sleepier, more relaxed, and more casual than its neighbors. Get up early and get your camera up in the air for a sunrise shot at the Ram’s Head Inn, which is positioned high on a hill overlooking Coecles Harbor and connected to Shelter Island by a long scenic causeway. Both intimate and comfortable, the 17 guest rooms of this waterfront property each have their own distinct vibe, meaning you can cuddle up and edit your shots afterward from a suite that feels perfectly suited to the two of you.

4: Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan; Bali

“Nestled on the banks of the Ayung River, this peaceful and private Balinese resort has so many options for amazing drone photographs,” Collette and Scott Stohler, social media influencers slash wife and husband duo behind the couples travel website Roamaroo, tell us. “Whether you want to photograph the Royal Villa (where the Obamas stayed!), the two-tiered pool, or the grand entrance, every part of the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is perfect for the ultimate couples drone photograph.” You’ll totally have to splurge, however, if you’re looking for that coveted Royal Villa shot because Collette and Scott share one very important caveat: You can only photograph the Royal Villa if you're staying there.

5: Il Castelfalfi, Tuscany, Italy

Italy is never a bad idea, and Eric LaCasse, co-owner of Koi-Fly Creative, a full service production firm that regularly films drone footage for TV commercials, agrees. “Tuscany is one stunningly beautiful place to get aerial footage. The lush greens and rolling hills offset by the early morning mist and golden sunrise bring incredible depth to any shot,” he says. “Once your aircraft gets up in the air, the distant mountains add the finishing touches to an aerial painting. There are so many locations to shoot, too—quaint towns, vineyards, and castles all offer a plethora of opportunities to get creative,” he adds. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to bask in the Tuscan sun as you pilot your drone here, post up at Il Castelfalfi, a luxurious resort surrounded by a small medieval village and castle, vineyards, olive and cyprus trees, a to-die-for pool, and enchanting golf greens.

6: The Yacht Week, Greece

If you’ve ever seen the Yacht Week on Instagram (and there’s a good chance you have), then you know the feed is full of some pretty insane drone shots, taken by guests and even a few of the hired content creators that follow the sailing regatta expeditions around on the high seas. On the more chilled-out Greece Athens route—which is most ideal for romantic voyages—the Yacht Week totally ups the ante, giving you and bae the chance to capture hard-to-reach islands, beaches, and seaside villages that only a sailboat or dingy can find. And even if you're a novice drone flyer, you should still try to get a shot of the skippers rafting (or tying together) the boats—it’ll make for a pretty epic Instagram post.

7: Tabacon Thermal Resort and Spa, Costa Rica

Costa Rica is high on many a honeymoon list thanks to its lush landscapes and incredible biodiversity—in fact, the tiny Central American country represents 6 percent of our entire planet’s biodiversity, so you’re guaranteed a one-of-a-kind shot or video when flying your drone here. You can tell a little story about your Pura Vida paradise vacay at Tabacon Thermal Resort and Spa, a resort spread out across 900 acres of rain forest close to the base of Arenal Volcano, where nearby hot springs and waterfalls are naturally heated by the volcano’s magma. Post-flight, relax in an adults-only secret garden called Shangri-La—where you’ll never want to leave the six natural pools, cocoon-shaped hanging cabanas, and bar—or the outdoor spa, where treatments are performed in open-air bungalows surrounded by the scenes and sounds of Costa Rica’s pristine natural beauty.

8. Royal Davui, Fiji

“Fiji is home to over 330 islands and each one seems to be more photogenic than the next,” the Stohlers tell us. “Royal Davui is a private island retreat that has its own sand cay, perfect for amazing drone pics.” With its white sand beaches, crystal clear water, great privacy, oh—and villas with their own private plunge pools—you’ve probably already looked into this primo honeymoon spot in popular Fiji anyway.
