While the bride isn’t always involved in the planning of her bachelorette party, there are still ways she can make sure her ladies are having a blast, from choosing a convenient weekend or location to making sure the options are budget-friendly. And of course, putting your friends (and yourself!) at the top of the priority list is Bachelorette Party Etiquette 101! Our experts have a few tips that will make your night or weekend even more enjoyable—your friends will thank you!
Arrange for Transportation
Whether you’re heading out for the night or are celebrating for the weekend, arrange for transportation (instead of driving yourselves) if you’ll be drinking. That way no one has to sit out to be the designated driver. It could be to and from a series of vineyards for wine-tasting or to help facilitate an evening of bar-hopping, and will make sure everyone gets home safely—which is worth a little extra money!
Don’t Forget the Snacks!
Especially if you’re having one night out as your bachelorette party, make sure you’re feeding your gals. Of course, heading to dinner before hitting your favorite bar is the easiest way to make sure everyone is fed, but if you’re inviting ladies to meet you for drinks and dancing, snacks will be much appreciated! This could be small bites at the bar as you start out the evening, your favorite treats in the party bus you’ve rented, or a scheduled stop at the town’s go-to late-night pizza joint.
Choose Hotels Wisely
For a weekend away, a great hotel is a must. When you’re doing your research, find out if the hotel has rooms with two double beds, and see if a cot can be added to increase the occupancy from four to five. Sure, it’s a lot of people sharing a bathroom, but it also means the stay will be a little more affordable (and feel more like a sleepover!).
Schedule Booze-Free Activities
Mix in some fun that will appeal to everyone, whether they drink or not. From pedicures to a few hours on the beach, some downtime (or even active choices like a hike or walking tour) will help rev you all up for another night on the town.
