People broke the news last week, sharing a joint statement from the couple: "After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we're very much committed to remaining friends. We have both evolved as people, which is taking us in different directions, but with the hope that we will continue to support each other in new ways," the pair said. "Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time."
And on Tuesday, November 13, Booth released a comment of his own, writing in a comment on Instagram, "I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my relationship with Kaitlyn over the years. You’ve made me feel incredibly special, supported, and very loved. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. It truly means a lot. And thank you to everyone who has sent their love & support during this painful time. I love you guys."
Bristowe and Booth met on the set of The Bachelorette's 11th season, and Booth popped the question during the show's final episode. They have since been living in Nashville, where they were pursuing their careers.
The pair sparked rumors of a split earlier this year when Bristowe was spotted without her engagement ring, but at the time she reassured fans that there was no trouble in paradise. Speaking on her podcast, "Off the Vine" in August, she noted that she and Booth were "both so busy, and unfortunately that means we’re spending all of this time apart.” Even so, she said they were still “110 percent committed to each other.”
She continued, “You are both always away, you’re exhausted at the end of the day, sometimes the relationship isn’t being put first, but does that mean you call it quits? No,” she said, per People. “You love the sh*t out of each other and you work through it—and yourselves to be better. And you know that times aren’t always going to be smooth sailing.”
