With Trista and Ryan Sutter's vow renewal last weekend and Sean Lowe and Catherine's Giudici's upcoming televised wedding this Sunday, Bachelor fever is in full force. Adding fuel to the flame? News that Desiree Hartsock, last season's Bachelorette, will be designing her wedding dress with one of our favorite bridal designers—Maggie Sottero!
Hartsock has always said she's dreamed of designing her own gown (she is, after all, a dress designer herself). So, why did she decide to partner with Sottero?
"I like that [Maggie Sottero's] gowns are within reach for many brides, and that makes Maggie Sottero more personable and warm for anyone searching for a gown," Hartsock said in an interview with the brand. "I am proud to be part of such a presence in the bridal industry for my collection with Maggie Sottero."
She also expressed how much bridal designs inspire her, saying, "A wedding gown is a piece of art that a bride will get to wear on one of the biggest days of her life."
More fun facts? Hartsock revealed that she's known she wanted to be a designer ever since she was a sophomore in high school, and dished that her current favorite design elements are interesting backs with illusion lace and beading.
One final hint: Hartsock says viewers should expect to see a lace wedding dress with some bling on her big day. Better yet, aside from designing her own dream dress, Hartsock will be creating an exclusive collection with Maggie Sottero called "Desiree Hartsock with Maggie Sottero."
It's clear last season's leading lady is taking a cue from the most recent bridal runway trends. We cannot wait to see what she looks like when she marries Chris in what we're sure we'll be a gorgeous creation!
