Back in May, Bachelor in Paradise alums Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson threw an engagement party so elaborate that guests thought they were attending a secret wedding. The celebration, which was held at the 40-acre wedding venue Ethereal Gardens, actually was just a precursor to the real event, which happened over the weekend! The couple tied the knot for real in Mexico—the place where they had their very first date.
Randone and Nielson, who were engaged last June in a beachfront proposal, were married at the Vidanta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Nielson gushed about the big day to People, sharing how excited she was to spend the rest of her life with Randone.
“We are so excited to start this new chapter of our lives together,” she said. “We will have each other’s backs forever.”
The wedding had tons of nods to the Bachelor franchise that brought the pair together: Bachelor host Chris Harrison actually officiated the ceremony, and guests included former contestants from the series, such as Becca Kufrin, Ben Higgins, Ashley Iaconetti, and Jared Haibon.
Most details are still under wraps, and we only got a brief glimpse at Nielson's sophisticated bridal gown. However, Nielson and Randone had previously shared that they weren't opposed to a televised wedding, which isn't a total surprise, given how public their engagement was on the finale of their Bachelor in Paradise season. While the ceremony is reported to have been an intimate one, fans will get a chance to see exactly how it all unfolded when the wedding airs as part of Bachelor in Paradise's season premiere on August 5.
We'll keep waiting to see the wedding in its full glory. But until then, Randone and Nielson made it clear that they're just thrilled to have said "I do."
“I’ve always dreamed of being a husband and a father,” Randone told People after the wedding. “And I have the perfect partner by my side.”
