Move over, Nikki Reed — there's another Twilight bride headed down the aisle! Ashley Greene is engaged to her longtime love, Australian TV personality Paul Khoury. The actress shared the news via a romantic Instagram proposal video on Thursday — and can we just say that this is one of our favorite celebrity engagement announcements OF ALL TIME.
"This is the most beautiful moment I could have ever hoped for," Greene, who is best known for her role as Alice Cullen in the Twilight series, captioned the too-cute video (see below). "You've successfully made me the happiest, luckiest woman alive. I can't wait to show you my unfaltering immeasurable love for the rest of our lives. #engaged #💍 #loveofmylife #futurehusband"
According to the Instagram vid, Khoury — who has been dating Greene since 2013, Glamour reports — popped the question on December 19 at the base of New Zealand's Bridal Veil Falls, a totally scenic plunge waterfall that forms a large pool surrounded by lush, picturesque greenery. The aptly named locale served as the ideal romantic spot for Khoury to get down on one knee and ask Greene to marry him. In the video we see the actress respond with an enthusiastic "yes!" Her newly minted fiancé does a little happy dance to celebrate the bended knee moment, picks up his love and spins her around.
The romantic series of clips is set to John Legend‘s "You and I." As if it wasn't tear-jerking enough.
Khoury also shared the video to his own Instagram page with the sweet caption, "I promise to put a smile on your face for the rest of our lives. You complete me in ways I didn't even know was possible. I love you more than anything and excited to take this next step in life with you! #foreverlove #myfutrewife💍💎 #ShesGonnaBeAKhoury."
If that wasn't enough to send our wedding-obsessed hearts all a flutter, Greene also gifted us a stellar close-up of her trendy and oh-so pretty oval-cut engagement ring. "I'm SO lucky and SO excited that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend ❤️ but the ring doesn't hurt either," she captioned the ring selfie. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen 😍😍"
Khoury also shared a stunning shot of the ring on Instagram, with the caption: "This is the woman I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. 💍"
