Arrow actress Katie Cassidy stunned on her wedding day over the weekend. From her pretty updo to her delicate bouquet, everything about her bridal look was breathtaking. But it was her Pronovias wedding dress that truly stole the show.
For her big day, Cassidy asked Spanish bridal designer Pronovias to create her lace mermaid wedding gown—and they went above and beyond. Pronovias creative director Hervé Moreau designed the chic dress, which included hand-sewn appliqués. The bride shared a shot of her full look on Instagram.
“Thank you @pronovias for my gorgeous Rima gown! Truly was beyond stunning. This GORGEOUS dramatic coat is exactly what I had envisioned & the perfect transformation from beach to formal wear on a moments notice! What a MAGICAL night! THANK YOU!” Cassidy wrote in a caption.
In addition to the stunning dress, the bride requested to wear a bridal coat made of French lace and silk organza as she walked down the aisle. According to People, the coat alone took over 330 hours total to make. The accessory included pockets and a three-meter train.
The 32-year-old tied the knot to longtime love Matthew Rodgers on Saturday, December 8, in Sunset Key, Florida. The actress shared a sweet photo to Instagram from the intimate celebration, showing off her stunning long sleeve lace Pronovias wedding gown.
“I can’t help falling in love with you … YES!” she wrote in a caption, alongside a shot of her and her husband sharing a wedding day kiss. “It’s official! #MrsRodgers I love you my husband.”
“I can’t wait to spend forever with you my darling!! I’m the luckiest girl in the whole world. I ❤️ YOU to the moon and back," she wrote with a shot of the two kissing. "Thank you for a magical evening I will remember forever."
In addition to sharing the news about her engagement, the bride posted a shot of her massive engagement ring. Rodgers gifted his fiancé a beautiful, oval-shaped diamond ring, which she showed off in the Instagram shot.
Sadly, the bride's father, Partridge Family actor David Cassidy, was not there to walk his daughter down the aisle. The actor died of organ failure at age 67 in November 2017, and at the time, the bride shared a sweet message on Instagram to honor her father.
“Words cant express the solace our family’s received from all the love & support during this trying time,” she wrote. “My father’s last words were ‘So much wasted time.’ This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute… Thank you.”
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
