Ask, and you shall receive—as was the case with notorious The Bachelor alum Arie Luyendyk Jr., who called on Bachelor Nation Twitter users last night to help generate potential wedding hashtags for his upcoming nuptials. And, let's just say the social media platform did not disappoint with its array of responses.
After famously dumping the most recent The Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin for the season 22 runner-up, Luyendyk Jr. is set to marry Lauren Burnham January 12 in Hawaii. Now that Kufrin is currently enjoying her own well-deserved happy ending and (hopefully) more built-to-last engagement, Luyendyk Jr. seems to be getting into the full swing of wedding planning, hashtag and all. Perhaps in an attempt to stay relevant amid Kufrin's moment in the spotlight, the reality TV star tweeted, "Looking for a wedding hashtag.... Reply with your best ideas!!!" The Internet reacted accordingly, and he may have gotten a little more than he bargained for.
Enraged viewers of the ABC franchise wasted no time giving Luyendyk Jr. a piece of their minds, and we have to hand it to them for their cleverness. While some replies were more straightforward and menacing than others ("#ArieisDumb", "#teambecca"), there was no shortage of ideas poking fun at his indecisiveness following his Bachelor season finale.
Plenty of Bachelor Nation fans also played on the future groom's name, which the couple has already taken advantage of for their "JanuLARIE" wedding.
The pair thankfully did have a few serious takers. Many capitalized on Luyendyk Jr.'s race car driving career, or even popular expressions from the reality TV series.
And, our all-time favorite.
Here's hoping the couple can find something slightly usable. It's not too late to lend your own creative ability!
