The couple and all their Bachelor Nation friends headed to Las Vegas over the weekend to celebrate their upcoming wedding in a joint “bach/bachette” party, as Luyendyk Jr. referred to it on Instagram. He shared one of the apparently few PG-rated photos from the weekend of him and and his bride-to-be enjoying Black Tap milkshakes.
“Still recovering... Bach/Bachette party at @venetianvegas was insane,” he said. “ A lot of pics we can’t post, but that’s what Vegas is all about right?”
In addition to whatever unpostable shenanigans they got into over the weekend, Luyendyk Jr. also took the time to surprise his groomsmen with their wedding wardrobe. "To kickoff the weekend, I gave all my groomsmen their wardrobe for the wedding!" the groom-to-be told E! News. "Kenneth Cole monogrammed all their initials into these awesome black travel bags. It was kinda their kit for the upcoming wedding—the suit, shoes, cufflinks, dress shirt, and bowtie."
Both parties stayed at The Venetian hotel, but split up for their festivities. The guys had a night out and partied at TAO. "We walked in and they had all these light-up letters spelling out my name—it was awesome!,” Luyendyk Jr. recalled. “Confetti was falling from the sky and they announced me when I walked in. Everything was really over the top, but that's Vegas and TAO made it really cool. They were so attentive to our group."
Meanwhile, the ladies had a more low-key evening since Burnham recently revealed she is pregnant with her first child. The momma-to-be celebrated her upcoming nuptials with her friends and former Bachelor contestants Jenna Cooper, Sienne Fleming, and Jacqueline Trumbull.
"Fresh flowers were everywhere,” Burnham described. “And a cake, cupcakes, and edible icing flowers—it was SO good! I was in heaven."
The suite also had its own karaoke room, which Burnham told E! News was "so up my alley." The bachelor and bachelorette parties met up on the last night for a karaoke party in their suite.
Burnham and Luyendyk Jr. apparently snuck in some alone time too. The bride posted a picture of her and her hubby-to-be enjoying a gondola ride. “That’s amore,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.
Overall, this bride and groom seemingly had a successful joint bachelor and bachelorette party. "I don't think we could have asked for a better weekend," said the former Bachelor.
The next stop for this couple? The aisle! According to their save the dates, they will tie the knot at Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii on January 12, 2019.
