Yes, we know that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani marriage rumors have been swirling around for months now. And, yes, we know that every single time these rumors have been wrong, but hear us out. This time, the rumors seem like they could come true (emphasis on the could).
It all started last Friday, when Stefani made an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and was asked when or if she would ever get married again. Instead of just flat out saying no or refusing to answer the question, she sort of stumbled a bit on her answer.
"Everything is going so quickly," Stefani said in an audio clip obtained by Us Weekly. "I'm in the moment and, um, look at me, you've got me tongue-tied."
You hear that, folks? She's tongue tied! As if that evidence wasn't suspicious enough, a source later revealed to Us Weekly that not only is this famous couple thinking of tying the knot, but they could be walking down the aisle as soon as the end of this year. Another source revealed that the pair is looking to keep their nuptials simple.
"Gwen has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings," the source revealed to Us Weekly. "It would likely be at Blake's ranch (in Oklahoma) or in the backyard. Gwen doesn't really care, she is just in love with Blake and their life together."
Though no one close to either singer has come out and confirmed these statements, we honestly wouldn't be surprised if the pair ended up eloping or saying "I do" in a super secret small ceremony on Shelton's Oklahoma ranch. The pair have been flirting and canoodling all over Hollywood and all over social media ever since they got together in November 2015 after meeting on the set of The Voice. It has been all sunshine and heart emojis for the couple, and any time an insider talks to a member of the press, they've usually only had heartwarming things to say about the couple.
"They are both very, very happy," a third source told Us Weekly. "Blake is having the time of his life with Gwen and feels so comfortable around her."
This would be the second marriage for Stefani and third marriage for Shelton. Stefani divorced former husband, Gavin Rossdale, last August and Shelton divorced his first wife, Kaynette Williams, in 2006, and his second wife and country super star, Miranda Lambert, last July.
While we wait anxiously for the official proposal announcement to hit the web, we have nothing but time to speculate on what this wedding could look like. Will the theme be a fusion of each of their personalities? If so, what would a punk rock/good ol' fashion country wedding look like? Will Stefani wear some other color than white to her wedding, and will her dress be as out-of-the-ordinary as her usual red carpet style? Will they be singing a duet at their reception?
One thing is for sure, if they do get married, their wedding will be one of the most unforgettable celebrity weddings of all time.
